Of the Message
ANTIE-D: the Message
ANTIE-D paced the living room, as she had for the days since Rose had left and Dragon and her whole clan had been missing. For an android, she was more than a little stressed. After all, because of her AI programming, not being able to complete a possibly time-sensitive command was practically painful.
But when she got the confirmation that Nissa was back, with Dragon, ANTIE-D did not hesitate.
She ran off to the shore to meet up with them and was there in record time.
Stopping just four feet from Dragon, she turned immediately around. Thankfully, Rose had not thought to stipulate that the message be given in private.
A flap slid down along ANTIE-D's back, and a screen was revealed. A recorded video flickered onto the screen, and began playing. It was Rose's face, speaking to the camera; to Dragon.
"Hi Dragon. Um, I'm... kinda not gonna be home for a little while. Don't freak out; last thing I'd want is for you to get the whole DD together just because I left the continent." The video Rose laughed uneasily.
"After all, it's not like I left the world... like I did the last time I- oh. This isn't turning out right, and I don't have time for all of this. Remember how I had to leave to find Lia Alit Ill-tia, the fairy homeworld? Well, I am supposed to go find out about all my heritages. It's not my fault this one found me. Kitsunes!" An honest laugh followed this, this time.
Rose leaned in toward the camera more. "Apparently? My dad was related to their king that died. They think, " she whispered, "they think I should be their queen!"
Rose's laugh, loud and now a little nervous.
"Anyways. I'm going to Southern Gaia shortly, with Sahm and Kyrre. Probably be gone about two, three weeks. I'll get word to you if they plan a coronation..." she was blushing now, "You'll come to that, won't you? Anyways. They're in a rush. A little problem with the next possible heir in line. I'll send you a... " she looked off camera, and spoke to someone out of sight; "Did you say a bird? A dove? Really?" Looking back at the camera, she shook her head slightly.
"I'll let you know. Love you!" Rose waved, and the screen went blank. The panel in ANTIE-D slid back in place, and she turned around.
"That was it, Dragon. Thank you." ANTIE-D said, eager to get back home now.
