 Ami Mizuno -- Ami appears in Act 03, Volume 01 (episode . She is a 14-year-old girl genius who attends Juuban Junior High School with Usagi, and is rumored to have an IQ of 300. She lives in an apartment with her mother. Ami has a shy personality which people often mistaken her as a "snob" She is also kind and gentle person who doesn't like quarrels abhorred harming innocent people. She spends her free time studying, reading, and dreaming about becoming a doctor like her mother. Amy enjoys playing chess, swimming, pop culture, and romance novels even tho she has troubles with love letters. In the live action, Ami was portrayed as a shy girl wearing glasses even tho she can see without them. She had no friends and sits up on the school's roof top eating and studying alone until Usagi befriends her. In act 34, Ami's mother wanted to transfer Ami to another school because her "friends" were band influences and hindering her dreams to become a doctor. Ami rebels by avoiding the admission meeting, and spent the night at their secret base with Rei. Later she tells her mother that what she's doing in her life right now is more important than studying, and her mother understands.
 Sailor Mercury -- In Act 03, it was revealed that Ami is actually Sailor Mercury. She uses "Mercury Power, Make Up!" in conjunction with her newly-acquired transformation pen to transform. Despite the fact that her uniform changes twice, the form is always known as "Sailor Mercury" in the manga. Mercury's dominate element is water (in the Japanese name Mercury Suisei - 水星; first kanji means "water". The second indicating a "celestial object" wink Even tho, she is named after the Roman God Mercury, her element reflect the Japanese Mythology. Her attacks are more strategic then offensive unlike the other senshis. Her dominate uniform color is blue with with light blue bows. which stays through out the story. In the Live action series, her dominate color was changed to a dodger blue instead of primary blue. She also was able to created a sword from water in order to protect her self from Kuznite's attack. She was given a Sailor Star Tambourine that later transformed into a sword in the final Act.
 Princess Mercury -- In the Silver Millennium, Sailor Mercury was also the Princess of her home planet. She was among those given the duty of protecting Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. As Princess Mercury, she dwelt in Mariner Castle and wore a blue gown. Ami appears in this form from time to time in the manga.
Evil Sailor Mercury -- After all of the senshi have been destroyed in the final arc, Galaxia uses her power to revive them in Act 50, Volume 50. They wear her bracelets, and attempt to kill Sailor Moon on Galaxia's behalf. Evil Sailor Mercury attacks with "Galactica Aqua Rhapsody."
Dark Mercury -- In Act 20, Kunzite takes control of Ami, and she uses "Dark Power, Make Up!" to transform into Dark Mercury. Luckily, her love for her friend, Usagi, heals her in Act 28.
