Arrow finished, and said "Sergeant, whats the situation down there?"
"it's pretty dire, Arrow. They are losing ground fast, they're evacuating the civilians we need to provide support"
"ok Sergeant" said Arrow, I walked over to the weapons rack and pulled out a shotgun and a silenced pistol.
"see you in 4" i walked out towards the drop pods a medic ran past me pushing a marine he had several spikes lodged in his arm, i hoped he'd make it. Rogue was already in his pod, he scared me, ruthlessly efficent, fast, cool and calculating. Rogue could do the impossible once i had watched him murder a pair of Hunters who had been attacking our encampment, the look in his eyes has always worried me, almost dead.
"Sergeant, is it time?" he asked
"not yet" i replied and started packing my pod, "a few more minutes"
Malis walked in and stabbed her knife into the table
"i'm ready to kick some a** sergeant" she said
"i'm sure you are Malis" i said as Arrow and Burnie walked in and started packing there pods
"Alright! Listen in!" I shouted "This is simple, Malis and Arrow you need to cover the rear and provide support for Burnside and me. Rogue, you know what you need to do"
"yes sergeant" said Rogue
"right get in your pods and get ready for a live combat drop"
"you got it sarge" said Burnie hooking in. The Airlock of the pods closed up, i slammed my fist against the side of rogues pod and heard two bangs back
