Merry Christmas GaiaOnline! ^_^
Trek had a wonderful Christmas, much better than the last few years. ^_^
I got my sister a gift card to Best Buy so she could get some CDs or DVDs or something. She told me she was going to use it to get the latest season of South Park, one of her favorite shows.
The "big gift" in my family this year was a copy of Wii Fit for the Nintendo Wii I got for my mommy. Now she has an incentive to do Yoga at home. ^_^ I also got her a gift card for her favorite book store. I also got her the Coraline gift set on blu-ray--or, at least, I thought it was blu-ray. It was in the blu-ray section in the store, and the box is blue, so I figured it's blu-ray, right? Unfortunately I found out it was the DVD version when I got home. Darnit! gonk There's no point to an HDTV+blu-ray unless you're playing HD content, so I told her I'd return it and get the blu-ray version instead. EDIT 12-31-09 - I went to Best Buy with my mommy to return/exchange Coraline. When we were there, she decided she would rather have a boombox radio thing for her ipod. Which suprised me, since she already has one. I guess she wants one for her bedroom, too. So I got that for her instead. She said she still wanted to see Coraline (she really likes Tim Burton or whatever his name is) so maybe I'll get it for her for her birthday.
I got the most gifts out of anyone this year. Which is probably because I didn't ask for much of anything last year, and didn't get much of anything either, so this year will make up for it.
First, my mommy and mommy's new boyfriend got me Star Trek 09, 3-disc set, on blu-ray! ^_^ It's such an amazing film. Too bad my blu-ray player in my computer died! gonk
Mommy also got me Cowboy Bebop: The Movie on DVD, and a really nice black men's robe (which I love, because I'm always cold during the winter, and I hate wearing long-sleeve shirts).
Mommy's boyfriend also got me Stargate on Blu-ray, remastered in HD. He says the film is much better than the TV series, hehe =P
Mommy's boyfriend works in a metal shop along with his son. So the two of them made for me a steel plate-sized... I dunno what to call it, a disc? It features the Star Trek logo burned into the metal with a laser, and the icons for various Star Trek races burned around the outside of the disc. I tried to get a picture of it but it didn't turn out, and it's too heavy for my flatbed scanner. It's a really nice piece, very artfully done. I don't have a place to display it right now. I'm hoping to get some shelves in my room put up someday, so hopefully I'll have a spot for it when that goes up.
My sister got me Creed's CD Weathered, my favorite Creed album that I somehow never got around to buying for myself. She also got me some CD labeling markers. Which is wonderful, since she's taken and lost every other pair I've ever owned. Gotta love her. heart
I got a few gifts for my Gaian friends, but I won't post about those publicly.
I also left a little "present" for SW-1988. twisted More details on this in a future journal entry.
Stay tuned for more, and merry Christmas to all! heart
