I never said that you were wrong,
But, neither of us was right.
Now the feelings are all dead and gone,
The feelings I tried to hide.

I think I waited to long to tell you,
But, I brought it up to soon.
I wish that I never said anything, anyway,
So I’ll wait till you say it’s okay.

On the inside I knew I was wrong,
But, I was the dumb a** who actually tried.
Now the feelings are all dead and gone,
The feelings I had inside.

I think I shouldn’t have told you,
But it felt like something I had to do.
I wish that you would just go away,
But I’m hoping that you’ll stay.

I don’t think I could pretend that this never happened,
And hope you are still my friend.
I can forgive but, I will never forget,
And that is something that I wouldn’t regret.
