Ark: *sighs and lays his head on the table* .... *watches Viscen play with his daddy* urgh...*tries to turn away and sees Jacob with his dad*... Mmm... *looks ahead and sees the kit running around the Tangora fox, playing* ....
Emily: Hm? What's the matter, Ark?
Ark: Nothing...
Emily: : < Aww, c'mon, you can tell me, sweetheart. *puts her hand on his shoulder*
Ark: *frowns, isn't all cthulu-y* I don't have a dad.
Emily: Sure you do. Ion's your father.
Ark: I'm just a nuisance to him. He doesn't really care about me...or my mom...or Angela.
Emily: *looks over at Ion and glares* Well, from what I've read about your father, he's a douche. But I'm pretty sure he cares.
Ark: Eh....
Emily: Look, I understand perfectly what it's like to feel like you don't have a father. I had lived 33 years of it. Trust me, it wasn't until recently that I knew my dad did care about me and my brother.
Ark: But, Ion doesn't have any emotions. Without emotions he can't feel for us. : <
Emily: I'm sure he feels something for y'all, otherwise he wouldn't let you guys follow him around.
Ark: I guess...
Emily: ^_^ Things will look up soon. I promise.
Ark: You really think so, Emily?
Emily: I know so. *pats his head*
