Walking away finally the sister had her arm firmly tucked in her brother's as she was in heels on the grass. She really didn't need them since her dress almost trained behind her with its ruffle tiered bell of a skirt. With how the top looked, she resembled a southern belle mourning for family or lover. Gently setting her lacy umbrella on her shoulder so it didn't hit her had the girl looked over all the tombstones. She saw crosses, the typical rounded tops, angels, or just simple stones on the ground. Wiping away a tear, he was the last person she would have thought would have been here. She figured it would have been her, she did so many stupid mistakes that it wasn't even funny. She should have been in the casket that they were just at. Not him. She felt like she put him there.
She didn't know how but they were in a little diner before she knew it. Looking up "Huh?" looking around shocked then back at her brother that just smiled gently at her "Its understandable, Adara, I would be surprised if you remembered the last month or so." Sipping on some coffee as she blinked at him, she didn't realize how much the death of one person could effect her. Or maybe it was the whirlwind of events that had her head still spinning. She looked down and saw she had milk...milk.....She bursted in tears pushing away the drink quickly, so quickly that Shu Yin had to grab it and jump as it spashed everywhere. Looking over she saw pie and dashed out of the small diner crying. He then remembered why she couldn't step foot in the diner and mentally berated himself "Stupid..." was all he said. She always loved the diner and he didn't think. He felt so bad.
Running out after throwing money down he caught her and hugged her tightly still holding her umbrella. "I'm so sorry Adara." "I DON'T KNOW WHY I HATE THAT PLACE! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!" He sighed as his fear had happened. It was so horrible that she had blocked it out and now she wanted to know. What was he going to do? Tell her? How was he going to give her memories back. "Come on Dars, lets get you home and changed that way we can figure out how to get your memories back." He wondered what she even remembered if not her diner. She was the one that found it and forced him to eat there till he loved it as much as her and now she's yanking it away from him? Brat come on now make up your mind!
When she was safely at home and sitting in a hot bath of oils he went down and started looking for hypnotist that are psychic like her. Maybe that could help her, although he didn't really want to do this. She had the luxury to forget...he hadn't. When he found the huge amount in the yellow pages he flipped through and ripped out something which he finally just picked one. "Please talk my sister out of remembering" he clutched it to his heart as it hurt, it hurt so bad that he almost couldn't stand it. He told their parents that he would protect her no matter what, and now he's putting her in harms way? Again? What the hell is he thinking?
She did it again, looking up "Huh?" she was in a familiar smelling place, but not. It was another witch's store, one in which was cluttered aimlessly with trinkets, stones, incenses, plants, and other mystical objects. Looking around she turned her gaze back on her brother who waited impatiently tapping his foot. Raising her eyebrows she never seen him like this. An Asian man came out with soft brown eyes, which caught her attention, looking him over she was about to say something but her brother chimed in.
"Ah, you must be the mystic, I...no...my sister needs help. She needs to be hypnotized and remember the last month." The guy tried to talk but Shu Yin went on. "She has been through a traumatic incident and now cannot remember so can you do your hocus pocus and fix her." "SHU YIN YOH!" smacking his arm "What" he growled he had tolerance for her doing it but at the same time he was frustrated and worried, rightfully so. "Stop it right now he's not the psychic." "he's not?" "No." she growled at him embarrassed. "No sir I am not, but since told me what is going on I'll get him so he can do his...hocus...pocus..." in an even gentle tone he walked off.
"I cannot believe you." "What? He's Asian, he looks mystic, and of the old world" "Why don't you just add onto the insult and call him Oriental like a damned rug!" "What are you talking about." "I don't know what your major malfunction is but, baby, keep your mouth shut. Your embarrassing me." looking away "Its like calling me Athenian, or that Greek over there." "Oh." "yeah" the stresses were getting the best of the both of them. Although Adara is starting to feel her brother's apprehension, she was starting to wonder if this was a good idea or not. It was too late.
"I will not talk her out of remembering. It is her choice alone, not yours, not mine, if she wants to remember that is her own business." A male walked out with dull hazel eyes. He chastised Shu Yin a bit since he had the gift and knew what was going on. Holding out his hand "And you young lady, a psychic of your caliber coming to me, shame on you. I'm honored but shame on you." It was obvious he was blind as he dressed atrociously. "Yes I like dressing this way, its a conversation starter," Wrapping his hand gently around Adara's he took her in the back.
When he had her settled into a comfy couch and the brother into a comfy chair, he smiled "I am Master Jack of China." Adara had her moment "You don't look Chinese." "Jung?" Groaning he did something to tape Duo's eyes back to make them Asian looking. "Better?" She laughed a bit and when he felt her energy relax and then the brother's when hers calmed he had the tape taken off "I studied with the best in China, that's where I found my lover, but that's a different story. Where I had to start from nothing for my gift, you surpassed me at the age of 3 where I am now. So it honors me that your here. I know why you came and I want you to tell me if you want to know for the reason of you, its troubling, its dark, and its full of pain. I don't want you to learn then get mad because you were forced to know. Likewise, I don't want you pissed that you were forced not to know." Shooting a look at the brother who put up his hands in defense "We're here, its her choice like you said." "Good, now my dear, what is your choice, for if you choose one you cannot have the other." She truly thought it over for the longest moment, none of the boys were going to force her to have a quick decision. When she was ready "I want to know." He made no sound but the brother was crushed. "Alright lay back and relax, listen to my voice..." As she laid back he started talking, immediately making her sleepy and fall deep within sleep..........
