Decided to use my journal on this site as a weightloss journal. This might be stupid seeing how some people are asses but I don't care anymore.
First I will start off saying in high school i weighted at the most 275pounds. I was miserable and just couldn't get motivated. Right after HS I had to get physical for college and found out my hormones levels were high and i was just at the line about to develop type 2 diabetes. I was depressed and just didn't care that's when i found gaia. Ive made many friends on here and I think from knowing all of them it has really gotten me motivated to lose the weight sense I was to embarrassed to show pics.
I ended up dropping out of college 2 years ago a mix of being depressed and just not sure on what I want to do with myself. So i decided it was time to lose weight the first year i didnt do much but occasionally work out. Then over a year ago April 18, 2008 I decided to really try to lose the weight. My starting weight was 252 pounds which was a nice surprised I had already gone down 23 pounds from the last time i had gone to the doctors, but i still had a lot to go.
My work outs were very small at first maybe 1/2 a mile or a mile a day 5 days week, and my diet wasn't really changed sept i cut out soda and tried not to eat to much unhealthy sweets and junk food. I was losing a pound every 2 weeks. Then as a month went by i picked up my workout, i bought a wii and bought work out games and i would walk the treadmill or use the work out game 1 to 2 times a day 5 days a week. I kept adding more and changing my diet more and more. Till July when i was working out 3 times a day 6 days a week and was losing 2 pounds a week for a while. Then in Sept I hit a Plataea and went back to 1 pound every 2 weeks even though i was pushing harder and doing 5 - 8 miles a day and a 30 minute wii workout and my diet by this time was tons of fruits and veggies and healthy portions.
By Dec nothing i gain a pound or 2 and would lose it then gain it then lose it, I didn't know what to do i changed it up and all kind of things just wasn't working. Then i started reading some stuff and i guess i just pushed myself to fast and just was burnt out. So I slowed it down and still ate healthy and only worked out 1 or 2 times a day but didn't overly push myself. Then by spring i started losing weight again in March slow again 1 pound ever 2 weeks but that's better then nothing.
I also have a job now so i don't get to workout on those days sense im still not sure if working out will tired me out before work so for now im not working on on days i work till i know my limits.
But from the last year ive loser 45 pounds, I am currently 207 pounds smile Still a fat a** but not the fat a** i was in HS. <3 Im hoping this year to lose another 45 pounds and be down to 162 or even better 150lb which is my goal. Cause who doesn't love a little cushion ;D xd
So yeah gonna use this Gaia journal to post thoughts and progress of my weightloss, I have gain a huge amount of confidence the last year from my weightloss and have the feeling maybe i can do more then i thought. smile
