Se'rox: Capturing Smoke from Nobodies
Seeing as how Kovu and his friends had left them to their mission (something about tracking down that wild dog Se'rox had trampled), and Xangord was just below, Se'rox should have had no prohibitions against simply hopping down there and taking Xangord back. But she had one holdup, and it was painful to admit it to herself. Down there were Organization XIII members. She had expected as much- but had dreaded it. Old enemies of hers that had assumed she was dead, but would be more than thrilled to find her very much alive, and would track her down much like they had Xangord. And Se'rox was no Dragon, to have such immense powers as to be feared by them. Se'rox had weaknesses, and now she even had something they could use against her if they could; Zuchax III.
Having led the group this far, her reservations she kept to herself. Her prime target was the rescue of Xangord. If she were compromised or captured, then so be it.
As Flan assured them that Xangord was fine, they all carefully made their way down the last edge of the ravine into the Elephant Graveyard.
Se'rox made sure to keep a watchout as she facilitated Flan getting near enough to Xangord to do... something useful. One thing Se'rox remembered about why she and Xangord had worked together so well was because of opposite natures in their elements. This also often made for some inconveniences, like now.
Se'rox cautioned Dai to be quiet and keep lookout while Flan did... whatever it was that she was doing. The real problem was that Se'rox couldn't tell where the Nobodies were. Her worst fear was recognized when she heard a familiar laugh. The only Nobody that could really hide from her vision;
"Xigbar." Se'rox muttered, and then told the others; "We have company."

Rose: Dropping In
Having explained everything to Taran (except her own reservations on his usefulness), Rose was more than ready to go down with the others and confront the Other Nogard. She cast her spell on n** just before they were beamed down, with another reminder to be careful. If Rose lost consciousness, the spell would dissipate, and that could be very bad.
As soon as they landed, Rose knew there was trouble. Other-Dimension Nogard was fighting some chick* with two claymores, and the poor girl against her just had two bats.
"Wait, aren't those-" Rose began.
But just then, Other-Dimension Nogard ran the girl through with a sword. As the girl fell, Rose tried to figure out what weird substance fell out of the top of her shirt. It looked like a bunch of embers- but who would ever put embers down her shirt and why?
n** growled, and ran at O-D Nogard, knowing what those embers were. But she only darted a few steps before she suddenly went full-human, fell to the ground and started smoking, writhing, and screaming.
This infuriated Rose, of course, even though she had expected n** to be targeted first, knowing what she did about Other-Dimension Nogard. Rose pointed Taran to the embers. n**'s attack had made it clear to Rose what they were. Specifically, who.
So Rose took off into the air and flew at O.D. Nogard, and started shooting air-bolts at her. They didn't need to kill her (though that would be a plus), they just needed to distract her enough to rescue the embers, er, Nogard.
