I vend, but only when I'm in the mood, which is not very often. (^^p) I do it for the fun and for the gold, but I have returned misprices on many occasions, in cases where the user asked politely and I determined through my own means that they are a nice and deserving person (I do have a nearly foolproof method for checking that). (~ ^,) I do not however, return misprices to people who are evil and/or rude to others, and of course neither to those who state on their shop that they don't return misprices - in fact, when I catch a misprice in that event I feel glad and gratified that I may have perhaps helped them understand the importance of helping others by having them experience the same situation they so purposely place others into. On the other hand, if I'm somehow unable to determine what kind of person I would be returning the misprice to, I will then keep the item. I must do this because it has happened many times that the person I returned a misprice to didn't even say a simple "thanks" afterwards, and some were even rude after getting it back. I find that very disheartening, and it is precisely what has put my previous policy of always returning misprices into new perspective. That doesn't make me particularly happy, but I have to protect myself and my interests, and for that I need some measure of certainty.
Now, about my listings: I will never undercut someone unfairly just to be on top (for example by 1 gold) nor do I manipulate the listing's time left to place my listing above someone else's at the same value as theirs. I have no respect for the opportunist lowlives who do this. I know this is only Gaia's MP and we're here to make virtual gold, but there should still be some code of honour to be observed. >_>
I offer a 2% discount on all my listings because it's gold I'm going to lose anyway on account of the market fee. If you're interested, let me know and we'll make the trade. :3
Still on the subject of the 2% market fee, I find vendors who advertise a 1% discount in their listings to be quite ridiculous - they want to seem such Good Samaritans when in truth all they're trying to do is earn that extra 1% the market would automatically deduct from their profit if they sold their stuff there - so make no mistake, it's not a favour they do to you out of the goodness of their heart, it's a favour they do to themselves playing on the fact that you do want to save something, even if it's just 1%.
