Most couldn’t tell the different if they were in their winter uniforms. The longs sleeves and pants covered Raidon’s masculinity so they looked identical. In the summer when they were allowed to wear short sleeved shirts; that’s when they could be told apart.
Rai called out to his brother so he could catch the ball. Tomo wasn’t very athletic, but since Raidon had been playing soccer since they were five, Tomo learned how to either duck or catch a ball that was coming. He’d even catch it without looking.
From such a powerful kick, Raidon had slipped and landed on his back with a loud thud. He closed his eyes and sat up slowly, rubbing the back of his head. The soccer star opened his eyes and had a look around him. Instead of a soccer field and bleachers, his vision was filled with a large plain, in which he was sitting in the middle of. “Where am I?”
A ruffled sound was made behind him. Rai tilted his head back to see what it was. There was a girl behind him. She had soft green eyes and light brown hair, which was pinned back and curled. The maiden was wearing an orange sundress. She was staring at him.
Rai stood up quickly. Wow! She’s so cute, he thought. The girl was just a yard away. She had her hands behind her back, holding something. “Um he-“
“Are you human?” She voice was a bit more mature than you would expect. Raidon’s face made a confused look.
“Um, yes I am.” She walked up to him slowly and examined him. Since he had on his soccer uniform on, the girl poked at his arms and legs. “Can you tell me your name?”
“I’m Kameko. Who are you?” She bent down and stared at his soccer cleats.
“Raidon Nakamura. Kameko, where are we?”
“The digital world, and on grandpa’s back.”
Digital world? Grandpa’s back? Who is this girl?
“Well we should get going. Sumi is probably waiting at the house.” Kameko took out the item that she hid behind her back. It was a flute, colored a very light shade of green; though it still sparkled in the light like any other woodwind instrument.
The girl did a baton twirl with the instrument and threw it into the air. She caught it in her right hand effortlessly and put it to her mouth. A tune filled the air. It was light and whimsical.
Then the ground started to shake. “What the-? Kameko, what’s happening!?”
Kameko stopped playing. “Don’t worry. Grandpa’s taking us home. What I was playing was a signal for him to get moving.”
“Kameko, this isn’t funny! I swear if Tomo is responsible for this, he dead!”
“Calm yourself sonny. There isn’t any tomfoolery happening here,” said someone in an Irish accent.
“The lassie is right. I’m taking ya home! When we get there, my other granddaughters will explain what you’re here for.” Another Irish voice.
“I rather someone tells me now! It feels like an earthquake! Can’t you smoothen out the ride?”
“Sorry boy yo. If I did, that would mean not moving. We have a destination to get to.” Said the first foreign voice.
“Where are you anyway?”
“We’re riding on him Raidon,” Kameko explained. “Grandpa is just a big turtle. At least right now he is.”
“What?!”
“Like they said, my sisters can explain when we get there.”
“I hope we get there soon.”
“We’re on a giant turtle. It might take a while.” Rai sighed and flopped down to the ground like he was defeated. <span id="test31910841">. . .</span><br/><div id="post31910841" style="display:none; margin-right:75px;"></div>
