Prologue



The vampire lord sat silently staring at the child that was brought before him. “What do you expect me to do with it?” Jared asked bitterly.
“I’m not sure… It would be barbaric just to let it die. Maybe you could find an accepting family.”
“But who would want a child with characteristics of an animal, the ears and tail of a wolf? Tell me that.” He looked hatefully with blood red eyes.
“I would gladly accept it. My wife and I have always wanted a child, as long as it follows your wishes sir.” He bowed low and hoped for the best. Jared sat in silence for a while, thinking. Finally he spoke “Keep the abomination, just get it out of my sight!” he said with a cold mono tone. Sinka bowed again. “Thank you Sir; you will never regret this!” He walked out with a large smile and looked down at the young girl.
When Sinka arrived home he shouted, “Erin! I have a surprise for you!” Erin came running. “Did you get promoted?” She asked excitedly. “No, it’s better. Look..” He held out the girl and Erin gasped. “Where? How?” She stuttered holding her arms out. “She was a gift. From Jared, he just wanted to get rid of her. Isn’t she pretty?” Sinka added with a smile. “Is she ours now?” Erin asked, starting to cry. “Yes, she is.” He handed her the girl. “I want you to name her.” Erin nodded and looked at the girl. She smiled and said sweetly “This is Roksi, Our daughter.” She gave the girl a hug and looked at Sinka. “I’ve never been happier. Thank you so much!” She gave him a small kiss and looked back down at Roksi, beautiful Roksi.
