If any of you have played Civilization IV then you probably hate barbarians at least half as much as I do >.<
Well I have a very interesting story to tell. I was building my civilization and I was actually doing pretty well for 3 cities, just got iron working and iron have a military focus city and a philosophical focus city. when suddenly I get hit by 4 Barbarian Archers all at once, thankfully they were on my military side so I could fend them off. At this point I put everything into my military production because I knew what was coming, and it came.
Barbarians three at a time from each side going after all of my cities, not to mention I had a war with the Mongolians(barbarians took my city once and the Mongolians swooped in immediately after and took it....I was kind of mad at the time, and took it back >.> wink
But now here is the amazing part, I formed a powerful military with a solid defense, made peace with the Mongolians and started expanding again, only to find that Barbarian cities had completely surrounded my nation. And here is the biggest kick of all of it, they were in the Medieval period with Longbowmen and Macemen, and when I looked at everyone else's culture they still had axemen and swordsmen. The barbarians were the most advanced civilization on the map! o.o
Once all my battle attempts became 20% victory chance I said forget this game, and quit....stupid barbarians >.>
