This was my very first poem:
this goes out
to the very few
who will never amount
anything like you.///
those who cant see what’s under their nose
who live by the rhyme and die by the prose.///
anyone who has just given drugs a try
or asleep on the tracks living high-to-high.///
try and count the times
a boy has proclaimed
i want to cross all the lines
never to feel the same.///
this is for the lovers
eyes to eyes, lips to lips
under the covers
butting hips.///
starboard side thar she blows
through a rolled up bill
Mother you sound morose
what happened to “that drug’ll kill.?”///
with both my feet in the grave
i tell you, “veni vidi vixi”
now we all want to be saved
not ‘til you find peace can you say “vici.”///
