His parents were the epitome of doctors, stern but never around. Faye eventually got caught up in the drug scene like most kids did, never finding life to be quite the same since. After discovering how many new drugs he could create by being a doctor, he easily went along with the plan his parents set for him. Back when I had a life ;; Growing up with a mother who frequented asylums more often then not and a father who lived at work, Rye was shown the true colors of the 'real' world at a young age and ended up experimenting with drugs and easily became hooked; moving from cigarettes and mary-jane to coke, shrooms, and acid. However, as the years went on, he noticed strange side effects and the drugs soon began to loose their power. At first Kay believed that he was just addicted and obviously he would need to up the dosage to maintain a high but the amounts he would need to take became ridiculous. It wasn't until one of his usual fights were the other was hospitalized due to acid burns that he realized he had any sort of power. Intrigued, the boy experimented and learned, gaining more then his fair share of burn scars along the way. The letter arrived directly after he accidentally destroyed his condo due to withdrawals after it was raided and all of his drugs were taken by his father.
