umm......hearder??? wtf(udge)?
Wasteland

She woke up in a surreal state of mind. Every memory blurred into a hazy mixture, no two pairing up, like thousands of jigsaw pieces pilled amongst each other. Shakily getting up, she brushed the stale dust off her dry knees, noting her first surrounding-the barren and cracked ground. Her vision hadn't completely been restored to her, for why it had dissapeared in the first place she would never know. Her blurred vision caused her to stumble on her own leg in the process of trying to stand up. The land itself was an amazing site. It was melodically depressing and barren, with a pastel colored sky, which ironically added a beauty to this desolate wasteland. The warm wind howled at her face, causing her long raven hair to whip unwantedly in the air. The sound of the wind reverberated throughout the listless wasteland, creating a haunting howling noise, which pierced her ears with its song. The ground was a surprisingly vibrant hue of yellow, caused by the mixture of the hardened sand that created cracks in the ground, and the bright sun. "Where am..." She managed to sputter out before running out of energy. Taking a deep breath, she continued her meaningless sentence "..I." The area was completely unfamiliar to her, well, considering all her memories were scattered from shell shock, even if she had prior knowledge it would all proove useless now.

I don't understand. I'm so confused, where am I? Why am I so hurt and...who am I? She thought. She wobbled upwards, attempting her best to stand up and recollect what could've possibly happened. She looked up at the sun and thought East. East is where the sun rose. I'll travel in the direction of the sun. Not fully accepting if this method was affective or not, she began to go through with her plan. Two steps, and she fumbled to the ground. "Damn it!" She screamed. No more than two steps, and she realized her right foot had been either badly sprained or broken from whatever had happened. The girl turned on her back, and closed her eyes, trying to recollect anything she possibly could. Either that or crawl using her hands, but that was hardly thinkable. Think. She told herself. Think. Think. Think. Remember. Think. Blurred memories flashed in her head one by one, as she slowly put together the pieces or her memory puzzle, still shocked and filled with pain. Eyes closed, sleep beckoned at her, eyelids going heavier and heavier. "s**t..! Looks like massive head trauma was suffered upon impact. We need to get Reve out of here ASAP!" She heard words, but was too near unconcious to care. She let all her innibitions go and escaped the pain and worry into a sweet dreamland.

I

Reve woke up in a cold sweat as the alarmclock blarred in her ears. A glance at the clock showed it was 8:32 a.m. "Crap! Late again for school. How predictable" Brushing off the nightmare and jumping into the real world, Reve hastly grabbed her clothes and changed, running off to collect her night's previous homework. In the middle of getting dressed, the raging alarm clock siren, and grabbing her scattered belongings, the doorbell began ringing to an impatiant being on the awaiting end. "Hold the hell up-!" A distressed Reve managed to squeal out. Bag in hand, suspenders half on, she hopped to the door as the door bell still demandingly rang and slammed it open. "WHAT, damn it?!" Then to her surprise it was highschool friend, Shao. He stood broad through the door with a fixed expression on his face. He gripped the strap around his chest that held the guitar on his back in an angry fashion. His midlength black hair slightly swayed to the gentle breeze of the sun. "Reve we're late! Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting out here for you to get up?!" All the anger in Reve almost instantly faded as she looked at Shao's disdainful face. He had been waiting for this long outside my house? "Who the ******** said you had to wait on me? You could've just gone to school by yourself." Reve said, putting back on her tough exterior, the pitty fading almost instantaniously as she looked away from his piercing green eyes. Shao let out a big sigh and with it the anger in his face subsided. "You're only seventeen and you live in a house all by yourself. I couldn't help but worry a little..?" "Pshh, I didn't know you had such strong maternal instincts, Shao." Reve snidely replied, skipping ahead of him in an unusually feminine manor. "Whatever." He retorted, relieved the mishap was over with. Shao loosened the grip on his guitar strap and followed after her to school.
