I sat on the edge of my bed intently drawing in my sketchbook. I had an idea for a new tattoo but wanted to get every detail of it perfect before I made a commitment. I looked out my window and saw the blizzard that raged on outside. It was times like these that I wished I was still living in Avengers Tower. I had left about a week ago because I refused to believe it was ethically right to kill entire foreign armies. I heard my doorbell ring and jumped. I wasn’t expected company, after all, who would come to my house during a blizzard? I ran to the front door and opened it to see who it was. I was shocked to see Bruce Banner standing in my doorway, covered in snow. “Oh no! Come in! I hope you’re okay, this storm is brutal! I’ll find you a warm blanket and make some hot tea!” I exclaimed.

He walked in and took off his winter attire. “It’s not that bad.” He said. “I feel a little chilly but I’ll survive.”

I ran up and hugged him. “What are you doing here?” I inquired.

“I wanted to see you again. It wasn’t easy for me to say good bye.” He explained.

“I didn’t want to leave but the way S.H.I.E.L.D does things doesn’t sit well with me. I’ll be fine. I mean as fine as I can be now that I’m back to my old, boring life without you.” I said. “How long will you be staying? I know you and Tony are almost inseparable.”

He was silent.

“Bruce?”

“I haven’t scheduled the return flight yet.” He admitted. “The thought of leaving you is unbearable.”

“I don’t like it either but S.H.I.E.L.D is a great place for you to be.” I countered.

“I can still work for S.H.I.E.L.D even if I don’t live in Avengers Tower but they’ve strongly suggested that I stay there. They can provide me with protection from people that want to see me dead and they have the best labs in the world. It’s a perfect set up except that you aren’t there with me. I love you Allison and I thought you felt the same way about me.”

“I do!” I interjected! “I do love you Bruce. That hasn’t changed.”

Bruce was about to continue but the tea kettle whistled. I walked into the kitchen and poured both of us cups of tea and returned to the living room. I handed Bruce his cup and sat on my small couch with Bruce joining me. “As I was saying,” he continued “I’ve been in love with you since we’ve kissed and I’m not giving up on us that easily. I know I can’t exactly work from here but you could come back to Avengers Tower with me.”

I opened my mouth, ready to protest but he didn’t give me a chance to.

“I know you don’t want to rejoin S.H.I.E.L.D and you won’t have to. You’ll be my guest. If Pepper can live in Avengers Tower than so can you.” He explained.

“Are you sure?” I asked, somewhat skeptical.

“Yes, I need you Allison. Please consider it.” He replied.

“I don’t need to consider it.” I said with a smile. “I would love to move in with you!”

“I’ll schedule the return flight for both of us tomorrow. I want to spend tonight with you.” He said as we embraced.
