After I followed Dragon home, pure exhaustion hit me. After all, I had spent all night in an elecrtic holding cell that shocked me every few minutes. I crashed quite quickly on the couch.
It was many hours later when I woke, and it wasn't because I felt rested. There was something wrong. That feeling, just like when Dragon's ship had crashed with her and others inside had come back. Something was wrong.
I took off, following my instincts. My pets didn't have time to scramble after me, as I ran into the woods. I felt myself getting closer, and slowed. I flew silently and fiaryl slowly, until I heard voices. I could not hear what they were saying, but I managed to see them through the tree canopy just ahead.
They both wore dark colors, one with red hair and one with black. And they had Dragon, unconcious, between them. Blue blood soaked the ground near them, as they tried to stuff Dragon into the bag. I swear that one of them looked towards me, and they began to hurry. They knew I was there. I needed backup.
I flew back to Dragon's as fast as I could, and stopped as I ran into Wynn, who was trying to figure out, from my frantic pets' gibberish, where I had gone, and if they knew why.
"Dragon..." I said, out of breath, "forest..." my heart would not slow down, I felt almost panicked "hunters..." I panted, and tried to catch my breath, "blood..."
Wynn, however, caught on quickly, and listened intently.
"They... felt me... near..." I said, finally catching my breath, "Putting Dragon in a sack, to leave." I said, my hands on my knees. Hours of electric shock followed by a sprint was not good for my heart, and mine was making sure I understood that. After a moment, I continued. "They were both in dark clothes. One had long red hair tied back, and the other had short black spiky hair. They were both wearing glasses, so I couldn't see their eyes."
Wynn's eyes widened at the description, and she nodded curtly before she took off toward the forest. I shrugged, and went into the house to tell the others. I didn't think my help alone would be enough. Not with Dragon wounded.
The others were as concerned as Wynn, but all handled it differently. I didn't wait any longer to find out what they were going to do, but grabbed my pets and flew back towards the forest. Dragon needed some serious Healing, that's for sure.
"I'm coming, " I thought to Dragon, though I doubted she could hear me, "just hold on Dragon, I'm coming!"
