Hamster Rescue!!
This is by far the crazzest rescue I've ever done! I was coming out of Wal-Mart with my friend Christmas (not kidding and yes her birthday is December 25) where we spotted a small fury creature near the curb in thier parking lot. She and I were in Animal Management together and we noticed that it was a hamster! Someone had to have dumped it in the parking lot. This was in Niles close to were I lived at the time with my parents. There is no pet store for 45 minutes away from that wal-mart! Christmas's mother was with us screaming "It's a mole!" We had a hard time convincing her that it was a hamster and that we needed to grab it. I had a ten gallon aquiarium at home to put it in. So I get my gloves (it was late fall) and grab the hamster. We get into the car and I had to give Christmas the critter so I could put on my seat belt and then it happened. We were half way to my house and the hamster flew out of Christmas's hands and leaped on her mother causing her mom to scream uncontrollable and she swerved quickly into the parking lot of a church. Guess who was behind us at the time. Yes, a cop. Picture this: Three women crying b/c they are laughing so hard over what happened runing out of the car and then scrambling to find a flashlight. So, I had to get it together to explain to the cop that there is a hamster running around in the car. He finally believes that we're not high and that we are looking for a hamster. He uses his flashlight and we use ours to find the critter, nab it, and tell the officer good bye. We get to my house, I explain the story, father gets pissed and tells me "you better find it a home!" After a few weeks of taming the hamster I eneded up give her (it was a girl) to my cousin who had her for four years! All that hell for a hamster!
