Everyone knows about the small hut
But few understand what lies beyond
Approach the door and stand lightly
Through, in, and down a hall
A small wooden door awaits your call
A search for reprieve from the world all around
The rest that you crave, what you need most of all
With a small key, which there are only two
Open the door and take a step through
See an office with four lovely walls
You know very well things are not what they seem
Where it seems four walls stand, there are only three
So close your eyes and take a deep breath
Put out your hand and take thirty-three steps
Open your eyes to see the office is gone
And you stand pleasantly atop a lush green lawn
With the darkest of greens the great forest looms
In a peace unmatched under this sun
Look to the left to see a path lain clear
Running between the trees away from here
Run away leave the others behind
Go where no one can follow
Where no others can tread
A private oasis here in your head.
Away down the path you come to a steam
Flowing clear and rushing clean
A willow tree sweeps long branches low
To touch the watter and feel it's flow
Wait right here do not go on
This place is all yours
Your peace is now found
Sit on the bank, look to the sky
Sun streaming through the tree branches green
Warming your face, making fast water gleam
Frayed nerves melt away
As calmness flows in
So you stay there all day
No one truly knows
No one ever can
This oasis of yours
Is a sacred land
Alone but not lonely
You know and you care
This gift is all yours
And will forever be
