I closed the garrage door and sank down to the ground. Zaphira was going to be so pissed at me. We were suppose to meet at the Ignisia lake. I loved the lake, the water reflected the sky so well. It didn't bother me at all that I couldn't swim. It would take over an hour to walk there. " Hey Mika! What are you doing on the ground?" I looked up and saw my neighbor Kitsa, in her car. I stood up and brushed my clothes off, " I was going to go to the lake." I sighed. Kitsa laughed, " Well, want a ride?"
I forced a smile and nodded. She unlocked the car and I crossed the yard to her car. I jumped in and let the sweet smell of green tea fill my nose. Kitsa shoved a cup under my face. " I know you want some." she laughed. I nodded and took it. The car started up and we were off. The car made a soft purr as the sceanery pasted by. Most of the houses in the town were empty. People didn't like to live here. That was fine with me, it made the school less crowded.
I sipped my tea, it tasted sweet. " So let me guess, your meeting Zaphira at the lake right?" I nodded. Everyone knew that it was my special place. Kitsa turned the wheel and brought the car to a stop. " Well here we are, you'll have to walk the dirt path yourself." I thanked her and put my tea cup down. She waved out the window as the car pulled back onto the road. I turned and headed down the dirt path.
