I finally found out who my host family is going to be when I leave for Japan in a few days (can't wait!).
I'm staying in Kokura-kita-ku, a city in Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka with the Sakata family. They already sound like a really nice family. There's the father Koichiro, who is a Surgeon; and the mother Yoko, who is a housekeeper. They have two children, Koko and Moeka. Koko is their 18 year old son who likes vollyball and listening to music. Moeka is their 15 year old daughter who is interested in Horseriding and Kendo. I can't wait to meet them when I arrive! I leave July 7th, spend a few days in Chicago, a day in Tokyo, then a month with my host family. It's going to be totally awsome!
