If you own reptiles of any sort, than you will relate to this post. Going on a vacation for a week, and finding someone who will watch two Chinese water dragons, and my python while i am away has been interesting. Surprisingly most people would assume that finding someone who can care for a python would be hard. Since the snake isn't fed every day and go a week or two between feedings, all a person has to do is make sure there's fresh water. Since I own a nocturnal species my python sleeps all day, so it makes it easy to find someone willing to take care of my python for a week.
No, whats hard is adding in the lizards. My male water dragon is about 2-3 feet in size, my female a bit smaller. they have to be fed daily, a range of insects, and sometimes a fish. And there pond, yes pond, has to be cleaned daily and looked after. They have to be hand fed, due to the fact that they are in the same enclosure, to make sure my male doesn't eat everything. Snake easy, leaving my dragons in someones hands, i wrote a manual.
So after three weeks found a friend who twas willing to look after all my animals. Only down side, my dragons aren't having crickets for a week. But hey, at least i found someone.
