August 16, 1908: A house stood silent on the ocean side as rain poured down and wind whistled on by, life seemed to cover itself in blankets as the storm hovered above. Inside this house was a young woman, sitting on the ground, staring at the crackling fire in front of her. Her eyes seemed to flood with excitement and anxiety, for tomorrow she would be marrying the man of her dreams. His name was Stephan Howl, a man with the strange interest with people who have gone insane, or psychotic. He spent most of his hours speaking with them, and listening to what they had to say about what the say, or thought about. Mary Spenwell was in love with him because he cared so much for these people, who seemed to be jumpy, and have thoughts of the strangest things.
They met on the night of June 12th, 1905. He was doing his usual biddings, helping and talking to the insane beings. She had came out to give a sick homeless elder some warm soup, Strangely they bumped into one another, making the soup fall to her blouse, and burn her ever so much. " I'm ever so sorry, maim! " " Oh, it's ok, I'm fine " She said in a sharp squeal, trying to take in the heat of the soup. " I can't take that as an answer, Maddam, let me help you.." Looking up at him, Mary blinked in gratitude as she was lead into her house. " Where is your bedroom? " The man spoke as he pushed open her door. Mary pointed, then was led to her room, and sat down on her bed. She watched as the man hurried to her kitchen, and took out a warm washcloth, and then handed it to her while he took off his jacket, " YOu may think I'm crazy, but the heat will actually help your burn, it is like-" " Fighting fire with fire.. " Mary replied, taking the cloth and putting it up against her burn, " I was told that by my father when I was younger.." She said to him with a small smile. Stephan smiled happily, "Yes.. exactly " That night the two sat in front of the fire, telling stories and laughing all night long, until they fell asleep, beside one another in a quiet, peaceful sleep.
The memories of that time made, Mary begin to tear up, but quickly she wiped her tears as Charlotte wandered into the door, "You should get some sleep, madam Mary.." She said quietly with a small bow. Standing Mary nodded with a smile, "You are right, Charlotte, thank you.. and goodnight"
The next morning, Mary awoke, her eyes shinning, today was her wedding day with Stephan. She seemed to jump out of bed, her maids hurried in when Mary said it was ok, "We must get your dress on my dear" Spoke one of the older ones that had Mary's mother's wedding dress that was held gently in her arms, "Your mother would be so happy for you" Mary nodded kindly to her, her gaze bright with joy as she took her sleeping blouse off, then wandered behind in her large walk in closet, maids following behind with materials for the young lady.
Finally the day was coming to an end, Mary was standing in front of Stephan, a smile plastered on both of their faces, "You l-look beautiful..." He whispered quietly to her, then leaned in as they were told to kiss. As the gap closed, Mary sensed something was wrong with her now husband, he was tense, and now that she was thinking of it, for the passed few days the man hadn't been talking normally, he was slurring over his words, and stuttered. But she pushed those thoughts away as they were now married, and were on their way back to her home, for a night to be with one another in loving harmony.
That night she had headed to bed, her husband had been sitting in front of the fire, his gaze seemed distant. Sliding into her covers she shut her eyes, he was different. Five hours later she reopened them, due to hearing someone open the door, then lean over her, "Hush, little Mary... don't say a word, I'm going to make everything better" Mary's eyes widened, he had a knife. She opened her mouth to scream, but his hand clasped over her mouth and nose, and as much as she tried getting free, she couldn't, and she blacked out.
This was supposed to be the best day of her life. But instead she was beaten, and put in her walls. She awoken, and began pounding on her wall, how did she get in here? She began breathing heavily, her heart pounded louder and louder, and then slower, and slower. Until she gave her last words, "He won't ruin my night..." And with that said, she died, her body limp, and her fist pushed against the inside of the wall, as blood dripped onto the ground.

" Augh! Just stop, stop it, Jamie! ", Shelby pulled the covers over her nose and mouth as she glared at me secretly, " You said you weren't going to read a scary story ". " I know.. ", I frowned, " And I'm sorry- " " I don't see why you even read me that in the first place, do you want me to never come over again? ". My gaze squinted, she was annoying at times. " No, it's just, I find it funny how you take made up things so seriously, thats all " " You told me that was a true story, Jamie ", She pulled the covers tightly around her body. I could tell where she was looking. She was staring at the wall where I told her the woman was dead in. " Shelby... ", I sighed quietly, " There is no beaten girl in my wall... ", I could see her glare at me once more before she laid down on the cot on my floor, and curled up in the covers. " Whatever, Jamie... " This had always happened, I would tell her a little story, that wasn't even true, and she would take it to the extreme, making it too serious.
