i·den·ti·ty [ahy-den-ti-tee] –noun, plural -ties: characteristics as to who a person or what a thing is
We live our whole lives, trying to find out who we are. What we are. We live our whole lives, going through phases, just to find out what we're comfortable with. We live our lives, accepting to be judged. Accepting to be criticized. We live our whole lives, with questions that have no answers.
Why was I born? Is there a reason that I was born? Who am I?
We change our hair, clothes, and sometimes, personality. To either fit what pleases us or to what pleases the public eye. We get lost with all the change. Sometimes, we lose ourselves during the process. Trying so hard to be an individual or to fit in. We get lost in the process. Once we get lost, we lose our identity.
My identity? It's still unknown. And to be honest, I'm not searching.
Identities are just a label.
