my names rochelle and I'm 14!! mrgreen I write poetry and this is the poem I wrote this year for my poetry contest entry!!!
I may just be some thread and dye,
but you salute me when I fly,
over the years my look has altered,
but my meaning has not faultered
I see the crimson sun each morn',
was there to see our nation born,
I stand for all thats good and right,
to spread my cause for that you fight,
under my rule my people thrive,
I keep their hopes and dreams alive,
I never cease nor doI sag,
I am the United States flag!!
