Dyeing in a Battle Trench
Thump, thump
Of my slowing heart.
Pounding of the blood pouring down,
My battered face.
Clank, clank
The bullet shells hit the floor.
Screams in the distance,
As the bodies hit the floor of our trench with a
Thump.

Full Heart
When someone stole a piece of my heart and broke it into tiny pieces.
I fell into a hole of sorrow and darkness. I thought I would never be able to climb out.
Then you came along and lent me a hand and pulled me out of the dark hole. You took a piece of your heart and sealed the hole in mine.
Forever now my heart remains full.
Even though you helped my heart heal you were keeping something from me. A deep desire that wanted to be set free that kept building up within you but dare not come out. What you didn’t know was that you weren’t the only one holding a secret in. Deep down inside of me I loved you too but was to scared to tell you so I kept it bottled up as well. Until the day you gave me a question “can you guess what it is?” and I answered it. Forever now my heart remains full. Everyday I see you and everyday you stay by my side. Now and again we may have disagreements but I will always love you. Till the end you stay with me. Till today I still don’t understand why you picked me but as long as our love lasts I could care less. You make me laugh and when I’m sad you do everything you can to cheer me up. You say I’m not crazy but you’re wrong I am crazy, crazy about you. A long time ago you said if I knew your secret I would hate you, but as you can see you’ve never been more wrong. I was lost now I am found and I have found the golden road that leads the way and at the end of the road is you there standing and waiting for me to come to you everyday. Till today my heart remains full. Full of a burning heart that can never be put out.
