What a week!!!!! I barely got into classes at the last possible minute. Literally, classes started the day I signed up!
I missed the first day. emotion_donotwant I hate doing that! All the orientation stuff is always on day one, and when I don't go I feel lost on the second day. Everyone already knows someone, and what books to get, and I walk in looking like a moron emotion_facepalm .
So my teachers all seem to be..... um.... individuals. emotion_eyebrow The good, the bad, and the ugly, if you know what I mean.
First is Macro-Economics, Professor L., exact opposite from the Death Note character. The dude is one of the most animated people I have ever met, and he obviously loves the subject. He makes funny accents when he qoutes the different economists!!!! rofl It was hilarious!!!!! He did a Scottish one, a German one, and a Lenin impression!!! I think he speaks Chinese, too. He said his wife was Chinese. And, he knows about Canadian healthcare!!! Finally, someone agrees with me that Socialist Healthcare Systems ARE NOT A GOOD THING!!!! I have always been good at economics, but it was a snooze fest. This time I might actually enjoy the class!!!
Next comes Biology I. Ugh, this one is going to be a headache. Professor C. is from India, or that general vacinity. She has a heavy accent, but that isn't the problem. Her lectures are a monotone drone. It's like listening to a mosquito whine with an Indian accent! emotion_drool I wanted to band my head on the desk! There are almost no notes to take, because everything is in the printout, which is going to make it even harder to stay awake!!! The lab is way too easy too, but she lets us out early so I don't have to worry about missing the bus.
Third is Ballet II!!! I LOVE THIS CLASS!!! emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart I already took Balley I with Professor P., and she is awesome!!! It takes a lot to get her mad, and even when she is mad she is still nice. Such an understanding woman is rare to find, even more so in teachers. She is really patient with beginners. I haven't had any ballet experience before, and I learned how to do intermediate floorwork in like three months! emotion_awesome It was awesome! I literally got the last spot in Ballet II!!! And people are talking to me!!! Nice people!!! I have friends who don't just want to gloat about themselves!!!
My last class is English II. Don't even get me started on Professor S. He was gloating about how he flunked a pregnant girl out of his class, because she missed a few classes while recovering from GIVING BIRTH!!!!! emotion_0A0 We have kindergarten name tags on our desks stressed , he talks to the entire class like we are remedial students, and he thinks he is funny when he is really just sad!!! emotion_facepalm The worst part is how he acts like we are ALL pea-brains!!! I mean literature has always been my best subject! I love reading, and talking about what I've read! This should be my favorite class, BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE!!!! emotion_donotwant And, if we leave even five minutes early he counts us absent (Yes my COLLEGE has an ABSENCE POLICY!!!!! sweatdrop What the French Toast, right?). If I could leave five minutes early, I wouldn't miss the bus home and have to wait an hour for the next one!!!
So these are my Profs for the next four months or so... I think I'll include some pics in the next entry. Oh, and Dad and I are officially 40% of the way to collecting 1000 slugbug points to beat Flora with (thats 400 points for those who are really bad at math)!!!! gaia_nitemareleft gaia_spoons gaia_nitemareright
