Recently I have stumbled upon a game called Evony. I'm sure you have all seen the advertisements, they are everywhere. I was drawn in by my curiousity towards one of the scantily clad women. “Play now, My lord...” Anyway. I am registered as BlackDragon on sever 51 of this 'Evony' game, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Pretty much what you do is you build a city, advance it, and make an army. Then when you are heavily armed, you begin to take over other peoples cities, and destroy their armies. There are also NPC cities and lands that increase production rate of your resources. It's pretty cool. It's pretty easy to get the hang of, too, because it gives you lots of quests that tell you how to play, and the things you should aim at building first. The possible buildings are cottages for your people, sawmills, farms, quarrys and iron mines to gather resources, you can also build an embassy, barracks, warehouse, market, feasting hall, academy, and many other things. The academy is where you do your research. Some research increases your army's ability, where others decrease cosntruction time, or increase the percent of resources you receive per hour. The Inn and feasting hall is where you hire hero's, and where they live. You can't send out any attacking troops without a hero, and they have different stats that make that you can improve to make them better. You can also employ one hero as a mayor, which increases resource gain, the loyalty of your citizens, and decreases construction and research time, as well as how long it takes to make troops for your army. The troops you can make are workers, warriors, scouts, pikemen, swordsmen, and archers as well as catapults and other machinery that make it easier to break down enemy citadels. It is advised that you use some of these machinery when taking down cities as every city has a wall around itself and the town hall, which can be upgraded and given more defence such as traps, abatis, archer towers, and more. However, if you are just going to send an army to take out one of the available valleys around your city (Such as swamps, lakes, forests, deserts, etc), machinery is kind of useless due to the fact that all you will be facing is infantry or archers. Sometimes when you attack a valley you will receive a medal as a reward, you can use these to increase the loyalty of your heroes, although it is more advised to save them as they are used in quests that increase your rank and title. The higher rank or title you are, the more cities you can have under your command. All and all, it's a very cool game. I suggest you all try it out, and if you need any help you can come ask me. biggrin
