minotaur's will be red, populating the foothills of a mountain range, with upper peaks populated by cyclops and other giants, as well as a hydra only heard of in legends, living at the range's highest point. Straddling the base of the giant peak, said to be the hydra's home is a great human city. Populated by fighters, soldiers and mercenaries, it is at a constant state of war, with surrounding minotaur tribes, factions of its own populus and on occasion, even waging war across the planes to the neighboring city-state.
Dryads, the embodiment of the forest seeking to destroy the civilized world will be badguys, while centaurs, thrown from their home will be the good green. possibly a few bad centaurs too, not sure. Among the exiled centaurs are the few humans who once lived in the forest, healers, philosophers and many other men who left the nearby city to seek a higher kind of existance, or a more natural way of life. most of them left, trying to save their own lives, while some few stayed, assured they belinged in the forest, or ventured back, feeling homeless. all were killed by the truest denzines of the forest.
snake men, man sized serpents with hands and arms will roam the swamps that legend says house the door to the underworld. two gorgon sisters gaurd the gate, while a flock of harpees roam the marshes. Among the diabolic creatures roam outcasts of human society, people to vicious to live on the mountains, thieves, murderers, the unscrupulous masses eke out a living in the marshes, making small towns, and lonely dwellings among the decaying landscape. Also among the swamps masses are those people seeking the ultimate power, immortality, and to acheive it, the legendary gate to the underworld.
at the center of the great plains of the continent lies a sprawling city of columns and marble. around the roofs of the great city griffons flock, and pegusai often fly, both wild and tamed to be ridden by members of the city's army. Among them, as well as in the city streets, sphynxes live among men, wize creatures, they often toy with humans, considering them lower creatures. However, they also aid and work cooperatively with the humans.
at the edge of the plains is a large shore, on which sits a huge port city, thriving center of trade, and allegedly the hideout for pirates, who fence their plunder to some of the same traders they steal from. Among the docks roam nymphs, and sprites of the sea, flighty and whimsical creatures, helping and damning sailors with equal likelyhood.

The things that live in my head.
I have little ideas in my head. Many of them are fed by my overactive imagination and grow and take on a life of their own. Usually they die off after a while, but I'm getting kinda tired of that. Feel free to comment, it builds their character.
