Biography-- [Edward has lived a charmed life so far. Growing up in the city was all the blast, and he had his fun there. He's most likely the oldest in the group. He was daddy's little ******** up in life. He was born on the First of April. It was such a rainy day. Everyone thought his mother was fooling around when she screamed her water broke, but it was for real. So they took her to the hospital and out popped Edward.
His mother died giving birth to him, and his father remarried quickly, popping out more kids with his new wife. His father was a big politician and his new mammy was some kind of model. His real mother had been an actress, and from Eddykins gathered, she didn't even want him to be born. So growing up, the young boy was told to be perfect in every way. Perfection. Come now Edward! That isn't the right way! He would often get hit if he didn't do things right. It seemed like he always got hit.
So on the outside, the Matthews family had been perfect. They were the envy of every other family. They were the elite of the elite. Until of course, a mistake was made. Edward's father was declared of bribery and other things, and was sent to prison. Edward's step mother met her downfall as well as it was found she was having an affair with some hot shot lawyer.
Edward was taken away from the horrid parents and was sent to live with his grandparents. No not his father's parents, but his real mother's parents. The small little couple was overjoyed, and that was a new start for the somewhat scrawny twelve year old. He found out his mother really did want him, just not his horrid father. Forks was an amazing town, and that's where he met his first real friend. Now, they say that boys and girls can't be best friends, but they were somewhat wrong. Noel was a charming ball of energy, though she did have those nasty gangbangers that she hung around. She was still a charm to be around. He sees her as his little sister now. Over protective and what not.
So he became friends with her and the rest of the group. He felt somewhat of a outsider in the circle of friends, but they welcomed him with opened arms. He was happy.
At the age of fifth teen that all changed. His father demanded custody of him, and the man got his wished. He went back to all the abuse once again. This time it was worse. His father was a bloody drunken b*****d now. He was still a politician, but he still had time to drink. He seemed to be drunk twenty four seven.
One night, Edward found his father about to beat up his little sister, and he immediately began to hit the man. Of course, Edward wasn't strong enough to beat up a two hundred something man, and he was beaten to a pulp.
So on went the days of suffering, until he met the girl of his dreams. A year younger yes, but he was all that he hoped for. The relationship went on for about two years, when one day Edward found she was pregnant, it was all that he hoped for. He was so overjoyed. They kept it secret for a while, until her parents found out. Edward's father was outraged, but the spiteful man covered it up. He sent the family away with money to keep them quiet. Edward found out that the women he loved gave up his son for adoption, and started over.
Sadden by this outcome, Edward, sixteen at the time, became suicidal. He tried to kill himself many times, by cutting himself and trying to OD. The last was when he jumped off a building. He only got a broken arm, but his father was angered, and sent him back to Forks.
Edward became a lot better when he was with his friends, whom took him in once again. He became closer to Noel, and told her some of his secrets, but they strictly were friends, more like siblings. He became over protective of all of the girls, and started getting stronger.
He went away on a trip a year ago, and has finally returned. Though, while away, he got into a scuffle with his father, and in the end, his father was dead. Not knowing what to do, the twenty year old returned to Forks, and hopes to start over once again. ]
Personality-- [Edward is a very charming individual, and is known for his flirtatious ways. He's quiet, but also a complete gentlemen. He is somewhat over protective of those he loves, and he hates anyone whom might try to hurt them. He's a tough guy, but he does have a nasty temper, and goes all out in fights. He's cold to those whom he doesn't like, and would kill anyone to protect those he loves. He's fierce at times, but otherwise, Edward is a kind and gentle man. He's sarcastic at times.
Edward though, while drunk becomes a different person all together. He's mean and cruel. He doesn't care whom he hurts. He'll sometimes go one a drunken rampage, and afterwards sob like a baby. Overall, he's a sweet guy. Edward though has a slight tendency. He needs everything to be orderly and perfect, so he's forever cleaning things and making sure everything and everyone is tidy. He's most likely the mother of the group. ]
