It was morning and a groan escaped my lips. I looked over to Seeker and Night, and bit my lip. This was our time. It was time to face our demons. To rescue our family and lovers.
An explosion shook the ground under us and I dug my nails into my hands until I bleed. I looked over to Seeker, and he nodded. He put to fingers up, and pointed forward. I stretched my hands to stop the trembling, and quickly pulled off my gloves. I nodded to Night, and she nodded to the other people around us. We all stepped out from under the shadow.
The demon was in front of us and hell was nipping at our feet. There was no turning back, for he was with the demons, and everyone knew that I wouldn't stop until he was in my arms again.
I walked forward, and felt the sun against my skin. I raised my face up to feel its touch and smiled. It had been ages since I had felt it. The sun had aways been our enemy, but now... Now I knew it might be the last time I felt it's powerful rays. I stopped and stood there.
A pause... A pause in our war, and everything melted away. No one was captured, we were all back in our normal lives, everyone was all right. I knew though, that everything wasn't all right. It might not be all right for a very long time. A prayer was sent to above. This might be my... our last chance.
