Chapter 9- Missing Love
I was surprised to see a dark elf here in Mishikauyio Town, but then again there was a clan of werewolf’s and vampires in this town. “By the way my name is Farlinda. I am the queen of all dark elf’s and basically we only have two girls left right now.” She said smiling. “Why is that Farlinda?” I said curiously. “ Well its very rare for we dark elf’s to have girls but since I am the queen, I have to reproduce with every guy in our clan.” She said grinning. I would have hated to be her, for me to have to have sex with every guy I saw I would be considered a slut basically, but I am sure that its not considered being a slut in dark elf terms. “Oh wow… that would be a disgrace in our religion.” I said feeling like a total idiot. “Why? Its basically considered an honor in ours. You vampires are strange!” She said laughing. Being a slut was considered an honor?! Wow they were weird…and I thought I was strange. “Well its basically just plain rude in ours.” I said shrugging. “I see…it must be very hard to explain why it’s a shame, correct?” Farlinda said making a sincere face. “Yea pretty much!” I said rubbing my head, I felt my cheeks getting hot. She shook her head and smiled at me. They seemed to be a very intelligent race, I wonder if the vampires and dark elf’s were friends or not. “Hey Farlinda, are you friends with the vampire race?” I said looking at her closely. She looked at me and stopped looking out the window. “ Oh Yes! Very Much!” she said smiling. It was great to know that the vampires had reinforcements and friends when we need them. I decided to leave Farlinda in the kitchen to observe my house. I peaked my head out of the kitchen and looked around. Nobody. I walked to my room and laid down on my bed. BRIIIZZZ, BRIZZZZ, my cell phone vibrated. I grabbed my phone and looked at my new txt message. It was from Jamie. Jamie actually had the nerve to txt me?! After what she did to me?! I really felt like I shouldn't answer it but either way deep down me and Jamie were still friends. I looked at my message and it said; Kairoyo please come to my house… I need to tell you something. I wonder what Jamie had to say this time…she probably wanted rub Misyugo all in my face and kiss him all over while I was there. Oh well. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed a black sweater and my black shorts and put them on quickly. I looked out my doorway to see if somebody was outside. Nobody. Were had everybody gone? I slid out of my room and closed my door. On my door was a note attached. I pulled the note off and read it. Dear Kairoyo, I wont be home for dinner because George is taking me out to a movie and dinner tonight, there is leftover pizza and fried chicken in the fridge. If you don’t want that then you can go and buy yourself something to eat. Love you, Mom. Stupid George. I am sure all he wanted from mom is to have sex with her then drop her as soon as he found out she was pregnant. I hated all of moms previous boyfriends, why she wouldn’t give dad another chance…I have no idea at all. I slid the note in my pocket and walked down the stairs, and out the door. I pulled it and listened for a click. Click. It locked. Good. I went to the garage and looked around for my brothers bike. It was right next to my dads work bench. I am so surprised mom didn’t throw it out yet. I grabbed my brothers bike and noticed a note in blue on it. I snatched it off and looked at it. It was from my brother and it said; Kairoyo if you are reading this, the vampires are having a meeting in the Kapu Forest tonight, its an important matter so be there at exactly 8:00 pm. I looked at my watch, it said 7:15. I had enough time to go to Jamie's house then take the long bike ride to Kapu Forest tonight. I slipped the note in my pocket, making sure it was in there all the way. I didn’t want to fall out of my pocket in front of Jamie. I jumped on to the bike and started on my way to Jamie's house. I made it in 5 minutes, a pretty good time for me to ride a bike 2 blocks. I threw my brothers bike into the bushes making sure nobody knew I was here. I knocked on Jamie's door five times. She opened it and stared at me with concern. “ok Jamie…what is it?” I said leaning against the doorway. “Well Austin is gone missing and I cant find him…I am so worried about him… “ she said frowning. I looked Jamie in the eye and frowned. I knew how it felt to lose somebody that your so in love with…but what could I do? “Jamie what can I do? I haven’t seen Austin in about a week I don’t think I can really help you.” I said shrugging. I hardly cared about Jamie anymore…she stole Misyugo from me…knowing I liked him. “ you can help me look for him…please Kairoyo…I need you..” she said grabbing me. “Sorry Jamie. I have more important things to do than go and find your boyfriend.” I said snatching my arm away. I walked out of Jamie's house and as I was closing the door I saw Jamie's smile turn into a frown. I didn’t care how Jamie felt about what I had said to her, she didn’t care about my reasons for being with Marichuyo so I didn’t care about her and Austin. I struggled to pull my
brothers bike out of the bushes but finally succeeding after realizing what had it caught. I jumped on to the bike and started my way to Kapu Forest. Kapu Forest was the biggest and darkest forest in all of Mishikauyio Town, making it the perfect place for vampires to party and discuss important matters. I wonder what all the vampires had to discuss, maybe it was something about me just joining or if the werewolf's were going to attack or not. I finally made it to Kapu Forest. I pulled back my sweater sleeve. My watch said 7:27. I was almost late but yet a little on time, thanks to Jamie. I sat my brothers bike down right next to the giant oak tree, and looked around. Where was all the other vampires? Maybe they were father into the forest. I grabbed the bike and jumped on and started to ride and after 7 minutes of riding, I had finally found the vampires, many of them were walking around, some were eating corn dogs, and popcorn, and some sitting down. Just by a random guess I would say there was 98 vampires here. They were booths, stalls and a stage set up here. Were they having a carnival? “Kairoyo!” somebody shouted in the crowd. I looked into the crowd carefully looking for the person who shouted my name. And then there came my brother Samutoyo pushing his way through the crowd to come and see me. “Hey Kairoyo!” he said finally getting to me. “Hey what’s up with all the stalls, booths, and a stage?” I said looking around. “Well Marichuyo hasn’t shown up to make his announcement yet so they set up food stands, games, and lots of other things to keep us busy. More importantly have you seen Marichuyo?” He said putting his arms around his chest. “No I haven’t seen Marichuyo since yesterday.” I said frowning. My brother shrugged and walked away. I smirked and started laughing. Was Marichuyo hiding something from me? I put my hands on my hips and frowned. I guess he had his reasons for not telling me things. I looked around and noticed that everybody was having fun except me…why cant I be having as much fun as everyone else? What was missing from me? Was it the fact that me and Jamie weren’t friends anymore? Maybe I should go and check on Jamie. I grabbed my brothers bike off the big oak tree, hopped on and started my ride to Jamie's house. I made it to Jamie's house in 5 minutes at my best estimated guess. I knocked on the door more than 12 times. Nobody answered. I wonder were Jamie was…maybe she was at Sophia’s Café. I grabbed the bike and took the shortest way I could to the café. I stopped at the front of the café. The café was made out of dark wood and had Sophia's Café flashing in a neon green light. I sat my bike down on the bike rack next to the door. I walked into Sophia's Café and looked around, and sitting on a bar stool, drinking Budweiser, was Austin. “Austin!” I yelled. Austin turned to face me as I ran towards him. I smiled at Austin who just stared at me. “What are you dong here?” I said sitting down next to him. The bartender looked me then asked me if I wanted anything to drink. “Umm can I have a soda?” I said grinning. He smiled and pulled a soda out of the freezer beside him and put it on the counter in front of me. “Being depressed.” He said his breath still lingering with beer. “Why?” I said frowning “I don’t think Jamie loves me.” he said still looking off at the window. I grabbed my soda and took a quick sip and looked back at Austin. “Nonsense Austin. She truly loves you and would do anything for you.” I said smiling. Austin looked at me and grinned. “Really? I didn’t know that.” he said looking down at the counter. “But I cant find Jamie..” I said frowning. Austin looked at me, put a 20 dollar bill on the table and said “ Lets go find her.” We walked out of the café, I grabbed the bike and looked at Austin. “Umm I guess I can ride on the handlebars and you can steer.” I said grinning. Next thing I knew is that we were at Jamie's door. As soon as I knocked on Jamie's door it popped open. We walked in and looked around then a note caught my eye. I grabbed it off the piano and read it out loud. Dear Kairoyo, if you are reading this tell Austin I love him and I am sorry for what I am about to do, I am going to commit suicide, don’t try to look for me cause you wont find me. Jamie. I was shocked I didn’t think that Jamie would be the kind of person to commit suicide. Austin turned and walked out of her house and sat on the porch. Austin looked devastated and sad. “Austin sitting and moping is going to do a thing. We have to find Jamie, even if she doesn’t want us to.” I said looking at him. Austin turned to me and looked at me in surprise. It may be true that me and Jamie aren’t friends anymore but I would still care if she died or not. I closed Jamie's door and stared at Austin. “Yeah…lets go find Jamie.” He said standing up. Me and Austin decided to search many different places in town and then meet back up at my house. I grabbed my brothers bike and rode to the arcade. I looked into the arcade and saw nothing but boys. Not there. Now to Sasha’s Hair and Nail Salon. I rode my bike 1 mile to Sasha's, then stopped right next to the door. I looked through the window then came into Sasha's. “Oh hey Kairoyo! Looking for something?” Natalie Hartman said smiling at me. “ I am just looking for Jamie. Seen her anywhere?” I said looking past Natalie. “Well she stopped by and then said she was heading for the Dollar Store.” She still painting some girls nails. “Ok thanks Nat!” I said running out of the door. I closed the door, grabbed my bike and started off to the Dollar Store. I made it to the dollar store in 5 minutes. I checked my watch. 10:30. I cant believe its that late. I walked into the dollar store and didn’t see Jamie at all. I frowned and then it hit me. The Beach. Me and her always went there when we were usually sad and depressed to talk about how we felt. I grabbed my bike and peddled as fast as I could to the beach. I dropped my bike and walked towards the shore and sure enough there was Jamie asleep on the sand. I grabbed my cell phone and dialed Austin. “Austin come to the beach. I found Jamie.” I said. I walked over to Jamie and picked her up. I walked up the beach and sat down on the sidewalk still with Jamie in my arms. Austin made it in 7 minutes, and took Jamie from my arms. Afterwards I walked back to my house with mud caked on my shorts and sand stained on my shoes. I felt like crap. My bike had sand stuck in the brakes so I couldn’t really ride it home. I made it…finally. I looked at my watch. 12:20. Oh god I am going to be so grounded. I opened the door and my mother was covered up on the couch watching her daily soaps. “Oh sweetheart! You look rough. Where were you?” she said getting up from the couch and making her way to me. “Well me and Jamie went to help some citizens clean up the beach.” I said pulling the sheet over my shoulders that mother put on me. My mother walked me up the stairs and helped me into my room. I kissed my mother goodnight and then decided to take a quick shower. I felt a little musty. I took a 5 minute shower, double checking to see if I washed thoroughly. I put my nightgown on and slipped straight into bed.
