1:25AM, Feb. 9:
Another loud blast in the clouds made he jump. I quickly got out of my bed, still full awake. I knew it would happen...But not so soon... I opened the door and stepped out into the cold, wet hallway. I ripped down the ancient halls to the Academy's Draw-Bridge Door.Waiting silently for more of the students to come running by my side, with the teachers taking the lead.......... No one......Just silence...
Was I hearing things? I thought I heard another cannon. Was it the thunder? I twirled around, with my dark black cape spinning with me. I headed back to my old dirty dorm in silence, barely touching the ground with my sneakers. When I finally reached my dorm, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep, so I thought by the window, watching the small partials of water that fell from the gray sky, blend in with the ones that fell from my cold pale face. I was homesick, and I knew what my aura test was gonna say, I was negative. If I had no aura, I would go back home in sadness. If I did (but I highly doubted) have an aura, I would go home happily. 13 long years of training, and 43 long years of war. The fighting never stopped. Missiles never ceased, guns never broke, tanks never went in silence. Instead, It was always loud battles, big booms and bangs. All I wanted to do, is be a pure light type... One that was always peaceful, and positive. I wouldn't be a mortal, I'd be a hero. *CRACK*
Lightning hit another cloud. Moving too fast. I stared up, looking for the moon. It was a new Moon Night-A night were the moon seemed like it was gone. Like it went on vacation! I walked over too were my small crowded desk was, and pulled the chair over from it. I brushed off the school books on it, and took my glasses. I put them on... Nothing but blurry rain drops fell from the sky. I sighed. It happened every night. In the night, I could see perfectly without my dumb glasses, but in the day time, my glasses were essential. I needed them to navigate my way, without bumping into my few friends and walls! I took them off and but them back on my cluttered desk. I sat in my chair my the window and stared at the never ending rain the clouds stored. I became drowsy, but the booms and cracks always kept me on my toes. I was weary, I closed my eyes, trying to be drowned by the darkness that would take me away to a dream, or a nightmare.
It never came while the hours flew by on the forgotten rain drops, that started to pour into my open window. I decided it was too late to go to sleep now. I got up and took my pajamas off. I stared into the mirror to see myself. Someone with dark, amber eyes, very black spiky hair, with pale skin, stared right back at me. I smiled my crooked smile, and opened my dresser. I pulled out my good black dress pants, and a pearly white dress shirt out of the top two drawers. I went over to my new washed pile that was on the corner of my bed, and took a plaid red and black boxer shorts out randomly. I slid them on and took my good white shirt and put my sleeves threw. I buttoned all of those annoying buttons and slid on my pants. I tucked my shirt in and I was pretty much all set. I grabbed a pair of pearly white, never worn socks from the very last drawer on my dresser, and I carefully put them on.
I ran over to my closet, and knelt down to see if I had any dress pants. "Perfect," I quietly muttered to myself. I had no dress shoes that fit my feet. I grabbed my wet muddy sneakers-the cleanest one I had-and but them on my feet. "I need a tie," I whispered to myself again. I never remember buying a tie. I looked around at my filthy dorm. And if I did, I would never find it. I would have to sneak out of the academy and go to town, only a couple minutes away from the immense academy.
I quietly, and slowly opened my dorm, aware that my neighbor, Robby Finch would come out and yell at me for waking him up, when I knew he was almost always up anyways. I hated that kid, a complete snob. I tiptoed down the hallway, when I heard high-heels running in the direction I was going. I paused, unable to move, frightened because I knew it would be too late. I saw the figure come from the misty dark hallways to see Andrew. Andrew, the complete klutz was wearing high heels? I was confused. I looked down at his feet before he tripped over the air, and fell flat on his face. It wasn't high heels after all, they were needles. I looked at him in horror. He had sharp needles in his feet. "NURSE!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, while I watched Andrews bloody feet pour out with dark red blood.
"Help me..." He pleaded. I didn't know how to. Robby Finch opened his dorm's door, and looked at me in horror. "YOU, YOU MONSTER," he looked at me, then at Andrew. I backed away. "Me?" I asked, still looking at poor Andrew. Robby ran out of his dorm in bare feet, up the hallway, to only God knew were. I knelt down beside him, and tried to take the needles out of his bleeding legs. The blood covered my hands. Before I knew it, kids gathered from everywhere, crying, and staring in horror. I got up, my hands covered in the dark blood. Everyone staring at me, then Andrew, and then went back to crying and gossiping, about Andrew's death. Then Professor G. came. He forced me to move out of his way, while a stretcher came threw, with JJ and Billy, the school nurses aids pulled Andrew's nonliving body onto the stretcher. Then I felt a hand from the crowd pull me into it. It was Angie. She hugged me and cried. "Why?" She asked me, still crying. "Why would you kill Andrew, one of the most nicest kids in the world?" I was stunned. Me, kill Andrew. I could barely kill a fly, I couldn't kill anything! I gave her a puzzled look. "Robby, Robby said YOU killed Andrew Brewer!" She was serious. I took a step back. "Me?" I asked. "Yes, did you?" "NO," I exclaimed. I was being framed. The crowd started to fade thanks to Prof. G. He made everyone get ready for the ceremony this morning. I was lost in sadness, and a anger that drove me crazy. Angie was one of my best friends, How could have she have ever thought that I did such a thing?
*Boom*
The storm was over, but the war was not. That was the loudest boom, I ever heard in my life.
