state testing
we have always been told to be good and to go to skool... some of us over come being good. and others dont always go to skool... but for the most part... we do what we were told to. and we also do testing.... and that is where something is wrong, testing doesnt do anything. i know we are told that is going to help us in the "real world" but really? i came across a question today on the test... #66 and if i could remember exactly what is said then i would tell you. let me start with.... i will never need sin cos and tan in the real world "oh hey sarah... meet me @ the mall?" "oh sure... wich one?" "oh... to figure that out just use cos." NO! that wont happen.... i dont need it for anything but to take up more brain space [[i need all the brain space i have.... i dont need something like that filling it up]] i know its supposed to evaulate you... but i know for a fact that it doesnt. i am really good @ remembering things to save my a**, and these multiple choice tests do just that for me, i dont need to have really learned anything. and thats kinda sad, cuz there are some people that have spent the whole year studdying and working really hard to do well on these tests. all this tells people is that 1. u are good @ filling in small round spaces 2. u can bs really well. there is nothing more. cuz i know every one that takes these tests has @least one question they dont understand or know the answer to.... y do they give us the test in may? the thing u hear from all the teachers "we didnt go over blah blah yet, its going to be on the test... dont worrie about it" and then u see the little straight 'A' guy in the back crying cuz he is going to miss a question. i know most of the stuff on the test will do nothing for me in the future. i dont need to know how to spell parallel. there are a lot of things that i wont need to know. that none of us will need to know. i think america needs a check up... other countrys know how to do it right.... y are we so stupid? and then we are all offended when we dont come in 1st place, u wana know y we dont? cuz everything about us is ******** up. thats y!!! ugh..... when i rule the world things will change. there will be tests... but u will have all the information in front of you. and u will take a test according to how u learn.... if u are a hands on learner u will take a hands on test..... YES THAT WILL BE EXPENSIVE!!! AND YES.... IT WILL BE MORE EFFECTIVE.... witch is what i am really going for here. i want to say that i am not going to make my kids have to do this stuff... but then i would be lieing. i want them to do all the things i did and hated... cuz it helps u think for urself... and with out doing those tests i wouldnt think about it... and well.... they are annoying... but they do have one good thing about them... they make good argument topics when u are in debate club... haha. i was lied to on the test, and im sure a lot of other people were too.... i was told that all the information i would need was going to be on the test [[and i didnt see any of the answers.... jk]] and not everything was on there... no formulas or anything....... and i look good with a fo-hawk.
