The Old Life, Chapter 28
I leaned against the railing while looking down at ground which was far below beneath me. Sadow sat next to me on his back legs as we waited along with Grimu and the others for the fighting to begin. There were however a couple of people that were late. Hopefully I’ll get to see them fight and learn from their success.
As time went by, the last battle to become Chunin's came and as that happened I spotted the Kazekage. By looking at him I was over heated with anger and revenge but I had no time for that or these feelings. The boy named Naruto was almost late and made it to his battle just in time. He was going up against someone from the Hyuga clan. From what I remember they can attack by disabling your chakra…..or something like that.
Their battle was amazing; their chakra was so great that you could probably feel it from the clouds. After that Gaara was to battle Sauske but since Sauske didn’t show up the Hokakage allowed for his battle to be held until he comes. Because of that Kankuro, for some reason, gave up and allowed Shino to win. After Kankuro was Temari, I really hope she doesn’t give in. I didn’t come here to watch people give in and not battle for what they worked so hard for. In the end Temari fought and won against Shikamaru. Now that battle was planned out. Strength is good but strategy is better.
Sighing in relief my turn finally came up. Looking at Nyatta, she was staring for into the distance with a serious look on her face. Taking a quick glance in that direction, she was looking at Rock Lee. She loves him and seeing him so depressed and wounded, would even make me sad and strong for both of us.
We, Nyatta and me, stood face to face with the suns rays beating down on us. “Begin!” said the instructor as he jumped backwards and out of the way. At the sound of that word Nyatta went into her fighting stance. Placing her right leg back, leaning back on it and lifted her arms until they reached her shoulders. As her arms were up she held her index and middle finger together, as though she was redirecting lighting. “Here I come!” She charged at me while doing hand signs. “Tree clones no jutsu!” The tree that stood in the corner of the arena suddenly split into four blocks of wood. Two of those blocks transformed into tree-like figures of Nyatta and joined her as they took out kunai’s and threw them at me.
I did nothing as the kunai’s came closer to me and allowed them to pin me onto the wall. Grinning she thought she had finished me and was about to say another jutsu until Sadow pounced on her and her clones causing the clones to turn back into blocks of wood. I had turned Sadow into me like Kiba does when he and his dog perform Gasuga. However I don’t think I did a good job at it; he does look like me but he has a tail and ears…..cute though.
As I removed the kunai’s from my shirt, Sadow growled at Nyatta before jumping back and stood in front of me protectively. Quickly getting up from her spot she brought the blocks of wood back to life, returning them to clones. Once they formed back into her, Nyatta yelled out, poison thorns. The two clones lifted up their hands so that their palms were facing me. Suddenly their finger tips became pointy and from them came out thousands of tiny poisonous thorns. Countering her move, I preformed a fire jutsu but not a powerful one. I only wanted to keep the thorns half burning and when it hits the clones it would set them to a flame. Even though the idea was good I still had to redirect their course. Having that in mind, I summoned Floppies. She is a light blue kitten that moves around like Jell-O. Meowing happily she jumped into the air and fell to the ground, forming a shield-like shape. After that she popped back into the air, landing in my hand. The thorns made their way towards me, leaving only five feet between us when Floppies landed in my hand.
