The Prince of Darkness
Ryu soon arrived at the source of the voices, it appeared that some Gaians had decided to congregate at one of the local fountains. She wandered among the mostly mortal crowd, pausing to listen to the various conversations going on around her. Sex, drama, and a variety of other mindless things seemed to be going on around her....she rolled her eyes and was about to head off to another area when she noticed him. He sat right on the center piece of the fountain, and even though he looked like any other vampire there was an air of power to him that was something different. In his energy she could feel something lurking, dark and menacing but weakened...she got closer so she could better hear the conversation he was having with two gentlemen beside him. She gathered from what he was saying to them was that he was weakened from a fight with his two brothers over the fate of their father's Kingdom, which if her suspicions were accurate, was quite a large piece of Gaia.
"Hmmm....," she said to herself as she continued to listen. He was low on blood from the battle, but even so, was unwilling to just take it from someone who was unwilling. That was a rather respectable trait in her opinion, and as she continued to listen to him it sounded more and more that he was a respectable gentleman. One of the men beside him opened his wrist and allowed the Prince to drink from him. From what she had gathered these two men had only just met the Prince, but obviously he had made the same impression on them that he had on her. He was a good man, honest and true, he would perhaps be a good King someday...she decided she should meet this royal heir. Best to be on his good side she figured...
She smiled sociably and greeted them all, "Good evening, how is everyone on this wonderful night?"
"Ah, good evening to you as well," said the Prince, "I'm a little worse for the wear, but overall things are improving."
"Very good, sir," she said, "I couldn't help but overhear the conversation....you had a disagreement with your brothers?"
He sighed and replied, "Indeed, My brother Twilishade wishes to cast the kingdom into a nightmarish chaos, while my brother Lightstride wishes for all to dwell in the light and holy...something or other....needless to say, I believe that the kingdom should be ruled with respect to all who live within it, of course I want to someday be the ruler of my father's lands... so the people will be governed fairly. Of course, I also need to take control so that Darkness may embrace this place eternally."
"Sounds reasonable,"she agreed, "maybe my abilities could be useful?"
He smiled and says, "and what might you be able to bring into the Dark Army?"
"I am a shape shifter, and a class 2 zOMG fighter," she stated simply.
"Hm, alright, and would you be interested in joining the Dark Army, and pledging your allegiance to me?" he asked.
She thought about it for only a moment, "perhaps a temporary agreement for the time being...until I know for certain that your a good leader to follow?"
"Wise," he agreed, "I'll allow it, and should you find this to be the path for you, I'm sure you will do well."
