Hey everyone! This is Ser, and I have not typed up a first entry in a long time. Yesterday I went over some of my earliest entries, and they are not pretty. Full of smiley faces, bright-green fonts, and obsessions with "pretty items". I shudder. What prompted me to come here to revive the most neglected corner of my account?
Well, lately I've been messing around with my profile code. I actually bought it from Minishops, but the code has since become a bit off. For one, the background was cut off. Also, the signature refused to show up on the signature section. As detective huggles (the user whom I bought the profile from) has not posted in who-knows-how-long, I decided to just fix it myself. I replaced the signature section with my wish-list. After a few failed attempts, (the sugarplum fairy song is now dead to me) I added in a play/pause multimedia button. I also added in a custom section to put random things. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to code profiles once you give a guide look. BB code is much simpler than HTML.
I edited the "About Me" part of my profile too. I didn't change it much; I just added in some of my favorite song lyrics and shortened it a bit. As for the extra section I added in earlier? I didn't know what to put in it. So I just kept that Saturn article I pulled from Yahoo! while testing the code on there. It's rather random, and reminds me of those shirts in Taiwan/Asia with the very random-and-often-misspelled English on them. (They think that, and they are correct in thinking so, that Asians in Taiwan do not mix well with the English language. )
In real life, I have just been stressed with my exams. I'm fed up with my English essays. Teachers always write "elaborate/more details?" when they have put a page limit and there is no way on Earth can you "elaborate" more without going over it. I won't say more on this subject.
I've been reading Princess Bride after having watched the movies a few years ago, and it's pretty good. I love the casual writing style and the characters. These are my favorite lines:
"Then there will be no body to hear you scream."
" 'I feel uncomfortable killing a girl.'
x x x x x'Don't be. God does that on a daily schedule. If it doesn't bother Him, then don't let it bother you.' "
Because of my exams, I have not been roleplaying a lot. I have refrained myself (with difficulty) from looking at the front page of Barton Town OR OOC, so I've been lurking in the GCD (Gaia Community Discussion for those who are less familiar) a lot lately. A lot of people shorten forum and sub-forum names, and soon the list becomes so vast that you can't get ahold of what anyone's referring to anymore.
