Hey, I realized I haven’t written in this for a while, so I thought I should do that. Yeah…
I watched Newsies! Oh mi gosh, that is one awesome movie! (My sister and I happened to notice that guys then were a bit more on the attractive side, and we wondered why. (Personal opinion here!) So my sister replied, “Maybe it’s because they pull their pants up!” o.0 I don’t know)
So, what’s new with ya’ll? Anything interesting happen lately? ‘Cause I got nothing.
Oh, I’ve been watching some old choir videos. Gosh, those black dresses were so un-form-fitting. They look okay in the mirror, but otherwise… eww. My hair looked better that short. I’ve been thinking about cutting it again. OFF TOPIC! Sorry, back to choir. I don’t know. I don’t feel the need to sing like that anymore. I mean, I still break into random song while I’m doing the dishes, but, I don’t know. I just don’t feel the same compulsion.
Oh my gosh. The dance video. I was so freaking sick that night, I really should’ve stayed home for my own health. OH! You can hear me singing terribly through my nose! And I keel over coughing at the end, I remember. I almost dropped the camera. lol Catherine was so funny. XD “Devon, I think you need to sit down.” Really?
More choir videos. I wasn’t sick anymore then. ^^ I was so happy. I’m not even kidding you, I was sick for at least a month. Three school events went by with me feverish and coughing. I remember, Caroline called on the bus home from EPCOT, and I was nearly asleep with my head pressed against the cold window. Gah, I was miserable.
So, what more to say… High school is okay. I’ve got all new classes. Spanish ll, Health/PE, Civics and Economics, and Honors Algebra ll. Yippee for me.
Oh! I was hat Harris Teeter’s today and I saw a guy who used to be in my Spanish class!! 0.0 His name’s Craig, he’s really tall, and he’s got facial hair. ^^ He sat on the other side of the room from me, next to Edwin. (Boy, do I sound stalkerish XD)
My guy, my guy, my guy! Sorry, I’m watching that video. We were all so colorful that concert. O.0 I’d forgotten.
Hmm, what more can I dish out about my life… It’s eff-ing cold here. There is nothing to do except stay inside, but it’s worse for my relatives out west. Negative seven degrees outside, NOT counting wind chill! I tell you, things are bad.
I’m sorry, but I’ve got to mention this because I’ve heard about twenty people up here get it wrong. THE CIVIL WAR WASN’T OVER SLAVERY! It was politics, money, power, whatever you wanna say that relates to that, but NOT slavery. The north just used that to gain even more support. They really didn’t give a damn. Ever think about what happened to all those slaves after the Civil War was over? Did they all get their own jobs, their own lives? Nope, they were still treated as second-class, thus the Civil Rights Movement. So think about THAT next time someone says the Civil War was over slavery.
And I finally noticed the difference my dad was pointing out! It’s not so much that North and South were two different people, it’s that they had different mannerisms. The South it was more manners, farming, being neighborly and all. The North it was more social status and respect, Wall Street, and minding your own business. (I’m sorry, this probably isn’t coming across they I mean it to…)
Wuthering Heights is a stupid book. I’m not even finished yet and I’m sick of it. Heathcliff is a freaking moron that needs to drop dead, Linton in a ninny, Cathy is a priss… I could go on and on about how much I hate this book. But I will not.
Whoa, I actually did have a lot to say?
People don’t hug here! There is little if any physical contact between people! It is starting to drive me insane! Back home, you’d hug complete strangers we were so touchy, here… I don’t know. I just really want a hug right now. crying
Oo, Somebody to Love, I loved this song! Platinum and Onyx did such a great job on it, and Matt on the guitar! Wow, is all I can say.
Okay, I’m done raving. XD Maybe I’ll leave a few links lying around to entertain you after being bored to death. XD
