I like generalized conversation. It's easy to stick to and easy to change to a new topic should the one at hand get out of control or go down a path that you don't like, particularly if it's someone you're close to that you're looking to avoid an argument with.

So my current beau and I are talking, and the issue of trust comes up. At first, we wre generalizing, and I don't know how the conversation got to that point but he asked if I was in love with him due to my increased affections over the past month. I though about it, and honestly answered no. As a friend, yes-but I don't trust him enough to love him on that level. Truth be told, it's not really his fault; I don't have the time or patience to invest in trusting people anymore. Takes effort and will that I currently just don't have.
