Ienzo sat on the edge of the roof. As he watched the sunset fading, he thought of all the messed-up problems in his life. From the age of six, his father, a twisted scientist, had performed experiments on him. He’d strap him to the table, stripped of any clothing, and he’d make observations, cut into him. It had been going on for ten years, against Ienzo’s will. And he was sick and tired of it. Then, Ienzo thought his prayers had been answered. He came across a man who offered him a job as an apprentice in his lab. In another world called Radiant Garden. Without hesitation, Ienzo took the job. It was a way to get away from his father. But he soon found out that compared to this job, his home was heaven. In the laboratory, he had worked with Ansem, his mentor, and five others. Xehanort, Bleig, Dilan, Even, and Eleus. Ienzo was the youth of the group. So the six apprentices, and Ansem, studied darkness of the heart. After a while, it got to be too much for Ansem. He put a stop to the experiments and started working on something else. But Xehanort went too far. He continued to perform experiments on the Heartless, without Ansem’s permission. When Ansem found out, he was pissed. Xehanort ignored him and exposed himself to the Heartless. The rest of Ansem’s beloved apprentices joined him in the realm of darkness. But Ienzo pulled away from the urge and continued to serve Ansem. He was then fired because his father had called his mentor and said Ienzo was using drugs ( We all know this isn’t true…). So Ienzo ended up back where he started, a victim in his father’s sick, twisted experiments. “ Ienzo! Where are you?! I need you!” called the scientist from hell. Startled, his son called back to him, awakened from his daydream. “ Shut the hell up and leave me the ******** alone, you sick, perverted a*****e! I hate you!” No answer. The slam of a door. { I want it all to end… now… right now, all my problems gone…} He then decided what he was going to do. He rolled up his sleeve, took out his switch, and flicked out the blade. There were many previous cuts on his arms, but Ienzo decided this would be final. { Just do it… this will all be over… no more fear, or anger, or pain…} screamed a voice in the back of his head. Okay. Ienzo breathed what he thought would be his last breath. He put the blade up to his wrist and laid it on the skin. Pressed deeper. He was about to end it all, when he heard a voice “ Don’t do it, Ienzo…” “ Didn’t I tell you to leave me…” Ienzo stopped in mid-sentence. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he turned around. “ Xe- Xe- Xehanort?!” The man had long silver hair that fell to his waist and glowing orange eyes. It looked just like Xehanort with a few changes. “ Ah… you refer to my former self. And it has been long since that name has been abandoned. Please, call me Xemnas.” { Former… self…?} “ I have overlooked your troubles,” Xemnas continued. “ And I have come to the conclusion of giving you a second chance…” He grinned, showing off a set of pearly white teeth. ( WELL AT LEAST THEY HAVE DENTAL CARE! LOL) “ What do you mean, a second chance?” Ienzo asked. He had always been suspicious of Xemnas when he had been Xehanort. The change of name and look hadn’t changed the way Ienzo felt about this man. He wanted to be sure that he wasn’t being tricked into something he was unwilling of doing. “ Let me put it this way…” Xemnas said, as he rested his hand on Ienzo’s shoulder. With lightning-quick reflexes trained from repelling his father of touching him all those years, Ienzo’s hand met Xemnas’ face, and left a mark. “ Don’t… touch…me…” he said sternly. “ Heh heh… still as feisty as I remember… I’m trying to offer you a second chance at life… And if you should take me up on that offer, you shall serve me in return for my… generosity.” “ May I have some time to think about it?” “ I’ll give you a half hour. I’ll come back to hear your decision.” Ienzo still had a suspicious-I-don’t-trust-you glint in his eyes. “ Y’ know, it’s okay. You can turn me down, slit your wrists and perish if you like… but this is your only offer…” And with an evil-looking smirk, he disappeared into a portal of darkness. Ienzo sat there in deep thought. { Another life…? Well I was going to end the one I’m living now anyway, but… I’ve never really trusted Xemnas to begin with… even so, maybe this will be a new start… I can’t complain… I have to take what life throws at me… and I can get away from that a*****e I unfortunately have to call a father! I must leave this life and my past… I have to forget… the pain and the grief… and mom… I’m going to take Xemnas up on his offer…} Ienzo heard footsteps behind him. “ Xemnas?” he called unwarily. “ Yes?” “ I will take your offer. Just tell me what to do.” “ Certainly. Come. I will show you the way.” He held out his hand for Ienzo to take. Ienzo stood up, the chains on his jeans clinking together. He took a step forward, still unsure if should he do this. But then Xemnas forcefully grabbed his hand, and he was pulled into darkness without warning.

Axel walked down the corridors of Castle Oblivion, just getting back from the training hall. Instead of taking the easy way with a portal, he had felt as if he should walk back to his room this time. As if something was telling him to. The young red-haired man walked on, and as he did, he thought he could hear screaming. The bloody-murder type. Axel ran towards the horrible sound. He opened the door, the source, and there was Xigbar terrorizing a Nobody he’d never seen before. “ Xigbar! You pervert!” Axel growled as he summoned his chakras and charged at the Freeshooter.
